White House Examples of Radical Left Violence Don’t Appear Connected to Left

Donald Trump and his administration are going after Antifa, which is problematic since it isn’t an organization. It also seems problematic as antifa is short for anti-fascist, which seems like would described much of the Right considering the umbrage with anyone on their side being called fascist. Last week the Trump administration cited examples of supposed Antifa violence. In the same post, they also cited examples of supposed “Radical Left” violence they titled this way

Antifa’s terror is part of the trend of Radical Left violence that has permeated the nation in recent years, incited by constant lies and vicious attacks against Republicans from unhinged Democrat politicians, well-funded leftist organizations, and their allies in the media.

The list is a grab bag of items, not necessarily involving violence and or an apparent left connection.

One item involves some minor vandalism:

In 2025, the Republican Party of Virginia’s Manassas headquarters were vandalized on Independence Day.

With that it is certainly possible that it was done by someone from the left, as part of the vandalism was “fash” spray painted on a window.

Another involved failed Molotov cocktails:

In 2025, a man threw two Molotov cocktails at the Dickinson County Republican Committee headquarters in Michigan “to send a message.”

The White House cut off what they were quoted, which reads in full “to send a message against the corruption.” That could be a left-wing thing or it could not.

Another one seems like a misleading summary:

In 2022, a North Dakota man fatally struck a teenager with his vehicle because he believed the victim was a “Republican extremist.”

The linked story doesn’t match that and later reporting disagrees with that view almost entirely:

Authorities soon afterward said there was little evidence of a political nature to the case.

They also cite one of Donald Trump’s assassination attempts where there hasn’t been a political link made:

In 2024, President Trump was shot in an attempted assassination at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

Where things get really stretched is that they connect the Radical Left to the killing of health insurance Brian Thompson because leftist “celebrated” the killing:

In 2024, leftists celebrated Luigi Mangione for gunning down UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson.

If leftist celebrated a future Yankees win of the World Series would that make them Radical Leftists, by the White House’s logic it would.
